This year marks 10 years since Church Lane Mews, Magherafelt, welcomed its first tenants. Earlier this month staff, past and present, gathered with tenants, family and friends to celebrate this special anniversary.
Fittingly both the first, and the current manager were present to reflect on their experiences at Church Lane Mews over the years. Some of the first ever tenants recalled what it was like moving in to the new facility and life from those first few days all the way forward to the present.
Church Lane Mews is managed by our partners at the Northern Health and Social Care Trust. At Choice we work with more than 40 Joint Management Partners and have in excess of 170 services. The Supported Living model varies by scheme in accordance with the level of support required.
Thankfully the weather held for the event. Marking this significant milestone was an example of a real team effort, with the BBQ built by tenant Kane and his father, and the food prepared and cooked by staff. Music provided the background to a relaxed affair until a game of bingo brought out some competitive spirits, all in good fun though!
