At Choice we hold Quarterly Staff Recognition Awards to acknowledge staff members within the organisation that embody our values- great customer service, trustworthy and dynamic.
Trustworthy – Income Recovery Officer Roisin McLoone, regularly demonstrates careful daily management of the rent accounts whilst continually supporting not only her team but all her colleagues. Roisin has played a pivotal role in training new Income Recovery staff. On numerous occasions over the past few years, Roisin has stepped in to cover for absent staff, playing a key part in helping colleagues maintain and tackle difficult arrears which is evident as arrears levels have remained steady despite external pressures such as Welfare Reform.
Customer Centered – Development Officer Colin Power was recognised for his personal dedication to solving problems on site with design teams, contractors, local communities and community groups. Colin will personally follow through with solutions until resolutions are in place. He communicates well with colleagues in other departments and has stepped in to help out his Development colleagues when colleagues have been off sick. In doing so, Colin has ensured schemes progress within the timeframe ensuring handover dates are met for our tenants.
Dynamic- Property Services Officer Damien Tai always goes the extra mile to ensure his housing patch runs smoothly with a benefit to staff and tenants alike. Colleagues across the organisation will agree that Damien is a key point of contact as a person on the ground. He leads the Maintenance Assistant (MA) team in the area with ease and has reduced the cost of voids works by encouraging the MA’s to use their own skills to complete many minor jobs. He is a great problem solver and is always keen to get involved to find a resolution. He has attended many out of hours emergencies and is very hands on. His quick thinking during a recent pipe burst minimalised the damage to the building and personal belongings, he worked quickly to relocate the tenant affected without contacting the housing officer out of hours. He is a great team player and an invaluable resource in Derry~Londonderry.
Congratulations and thank you to all our winners this quarter.
