Working in collaboration with the Department for Communities (DfC), MJ McBride Construction and Michael Whitley Architects, the new Choice development will accommodate 57 people in two bedroom apartments, including two wheelchair accessible apartments. The convenient location means the scheme is within easy reach of local amenities including; cafes, shops and restaurants.
Michael McDonnell, Group Chief Executive of Choice Housing commented,
“East Belfast is facing a shortfall of social housing and like much of the City this need is continuing to grow. The transformation of the former Willowfield site demonstrates an ongoing commitment by Choice to provide high quality housing to those who need it most and this project is testament to that. The result is to meet the diverse needs of our new tenants and enrich the surrounding area.“
MJ McBride Construction added:
“We are pleased to form this working partnership with Choice and look forward to delivering this ambitious project. The development represents a significant investment from Choice and will no doubt be welcomed by those in the local community.”
