Choice are delighted to be shortlisted in The Women in Housing Awards. These awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of outstanding women working in housing.
Paula Conway’s work with Women’s Aid NI has been shortlisted in the Improving the Lives of Women or Communities.
Paula was the lead officer in the remodelling of Carniny Court, a Choice supported housing scheme. This work, which was carried out in partnership with Women’s Aid, has increased and radically enhanced the provision of high quality services and accommodation to meet the changing needs of women and children escaping domestic violence in NI. The new facilities provide maximum support to help clients regain their independence, self-determination and maintain their decision making capacity.
Now in their sixth year, the awards highlight the amazing work and achievements of the many women who make a major contribution.
Building on existing success, in 2018 the Women in Housing Awards were acquired by Inside Housing and they are being run in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Housing.
The winners will be announced in October at the ceremony in Manchester.
