Choice sheltered housing scheme, Knockagh Court in Greenisland celebrated its 30th Anniversary recently.
A party was held to mark the milestone anniversary and was attended by staff, residents and Mayor of East Antrim Borough, Councillor Audrey Wales, MBE.
Knockagh Court was opened in March 1986 and is currently home to 32 residents who enjoy independent living within a safe and supported environment.
Special recognition was given to both Ann Montgomery who has lived in Knockagh Court since January 2012 and Kate McManus since February 2004.
Michael McDonnell spoke at the celebratory event and said: “It is fantastic to be able to celebrate 30 happy years at Knockagh Court with the Mayor and our residents. For our residents, the scheme is more than just their home, it is a vital part of the community, enabling older people to live safely and independently and offering their families peace of mind.”
